Kaufmann receives the DGPPN-Award for the study of psychiatric disorders

The German Association for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics (DGPPN) awarded Tobias Kaufmann with its 2021 research award. The award ceremony took place Nov 24th during the DGPPN Congress in Berlin.

LifespanHealth: A lifespan perspective on mental illness - toward precision medicine using multimodal brain imaging and genetics

PI: Kaufmann, Location: University of Oslo, Funding: Research Council of Norway (~850k €) Severe mental illness (SMI) accounts for about one third of all years lived-with-disabilities world-wide, with large unmet patient needs and substantial socio-economical costs.

New funding awarded from the Research Council of Norway

PI Kaufmann was granted approx. 1.2 million euro to study the genetics underlying brain structure and function and the link to psychiatric disorders.
